Josefin Falthin: It´s Ok (Single, 2012)

"Recording artist Josefin Falthin of Stockholm, Sweden announces the upcoming 29th of November release of her premier single, “It’s OK.” Josefin Faltin came back home to Stockholm in the summer of 2010 to go into the studio with her new songs. The idea was to let the recordings take as much time as needed, and work with the musicians and instrumentation they wanted, trying out different ideas and not settling for anything less than perfect. This was a period in Josefin's life when she had to compromise everything else in order to work with her music. She financed the recordings with awful part-time jobs which lefte no money for rent and she was torn between Sweden and her love across the Atlantic. But she knew that it was now or never for her to put everything into her music. The single and forthcoming album of all-original compositions feature contributions from many of Falthin’s family members, making it quite the family affair. Her sister and brother-in-law are co-producing the project and contributing bass and keyboard parts. Falthin’s father adds saxophone layers on several tracks, while her aunt provides orchestral percussion on others. The music video for “It’s OK” is conceived, directed, and produced by Falthin’s cousin, who also designed the single’s cover art. Several other family members are featured in the music video. Josefin Falthin has arranged strings for such notable artists as Eagle Eye Cherry, Daniel Adams Ray, and Samson for President. The meticulous attention to detail found in those arrangements is magnified and expanded in “It’s OK” and the other original songs on the soon-to-be-released album, which has taken more than two years to complete. “I hope that it will make people fall in love —it’s a love song!” Falthin said about the single" (Press)
