Rebel Rebel: Project runaway Radio Edit (Single, 2012)

"Rebel Rebel releases a new postcard from the faraway summer of 2012 - the EP Project Runaway. It consists of five tracks that is just as much instrumental disco killers with coffeestains as ambitious vocal pop gems in the vein of Abba. The subjects of the five tracks ranging from Italian evening courses and sad love stories to Otto Dix and flutes in space. Since the debut single Love Songs, released this past spring, Rebel Rebel has gained loads of attention in their native Sweden with both live shows and remixes for famous Swedish acts Bye Bye Bicycle, Kristian Anttila, Jonas Schwartz and the one and only Avicii. The last mentioned remix soon hit 10 000 plays on the band Soundcloud page the week after its release. "Project Runaway", the first single from the EP, is fragile but strong, intimate and dirty, bedroom and dancefloor. Simple but thought through. You can listen to it over and over again with ever getting tired" (Birds Will Sing For You Records)

Avicii: Levels (Rebel Rebel Discomix Radio, 2012)

Rebel Rebel: Love songs (Single, 2012)

"A few weeks back we sent you the debut single from Gothenburg (SWE) based Rebel Rebel - a disco/electro thing by the name of "Love Songs". It's included below. Now the band has remixed one of the world's biggest hits at the moment Avicii's "Levels", making it a disco killer with focus on Etta James' gorgeous sampled vocals. Sebastian Kapocs, one of the three Rebel Rebel guys, sees it as a tribute to the newly passed blues vocalist. When we asked who Sebastian himself would like to remix Rebel Rebel he instantly shouted out for Carl Craig. Judging by the speed of the band's debut single at music blogs all over the world this might soon be a possibility. Does Avicii like Rebel Rebel? We don't know. What do you think?" Rebel Rebel: Love songs (Single, 2012)

"Chemistry - An area in which you can win a Nobel Prize or a description of what happens when people come together. In the case of Rebel Rebel, based in Gothenburg, Sweden, it's a singer with a background in the Swedish Ballet School, a producer and musician who's also active in the band Katakomb and a DJ/producer who's heavily involved in the club scene. Resembling the Okapi, Rebel Rebel looks like a rather unconventional mixture but just like the animal itself, makes for an exotic reality. A band that truly knows what they want...
With pop-drenched futuristic disco productions and remixes they are ready to hit the world with a bang, just like their spirit guides and source of inspiration ABBA did when, according to some, the world was a more exciting place. Those with a keen ear could probably also draw parallells to the more modern sounds of Chromeo and Areoplane. "Love Songs" is Rebel Rebel's debut single" (Press)
