Kingdomz: SurfsUp (Single, 2011)

"With this track I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The name Kingdomz with its superfluous letter ‘Z’ had me thinking that it could possibly be some sort of pulsing electronic outfit. But then again the track is called “SurfsUp” so maybe it is another take on the sun bleached surf pop that seems to be so popular these days. What I got though was something that was sort of a meeting ground between the two (if such ground exists). The track comes riding in on waves (heh) of bubbling, aquatic synths and everything feels like a watery shade of blue.
