Seaweed Meadows: Money train (Single, 2014)

“Recording a new album is like climbing a big mountain. You never know where you want to go and even if you can get a glimpse of the top you still know there’s a long way to go before you get there”

The parable comes from Seaweed Meadows. They’re speaking about the experience of the recording of their new album “Echoes of an Avalanche” which has been in the making since 2012.Gothenburg based Seaweed Meadows single “Andra Långgatan” was released in August 2013 and was celebrated by both international bloggers and Swedish critics.

The band is now releasing their first full-length record which, according to the band themselves is a mix between heartache, hopes, Gothenburg romance, existential anxiety and social criticism wrapped in a dreamy indie rock-sound.

“Echoes of an Avalanche” is being released the 9th of April 2014.

Seaweed Meadows: Ruins (Single, 2013)

"Sometimes things don't turn out the way you thought they would. Sometimes they turn out even better!
What started as a simple rock band during the winter of 2011 quickly evolved into something more powerful and important than what could be contained within the four walls of a worn down rehearsal room.
While the cold winter winds were howling on the streets of Gothenburg, home town of SEAWEED MEADOWS, the band dug deep and turned their emotions and thoughts into beautiful pieces of music. Their melancholic and ambient sounds quickly gained praise from listeners as well as critics.
Since then the band has continued to develop and refine their music, making it even more clear that the future belongs to SEAWEED MEADOWS. And now after one year in Rabbit Hole Studios in Gothenburg the band is ready to release their first single, "Ruins", from the upcoming album "Echoes of an Avalanche" (Press)
