Daniel Badeie: Moments (Single, 2012)

"Daniel Badeie came to Sweden as a child from a war torn Teheran, Iran. The memories evolving around this and his upbringing in Uppsala, Sweden, came to form a critical view on the world around him. A feeling of seeing straight through unfair structures has followed Daniel all the way in to his debut album. Grounding in the knowledge that people could do anything to each other and to the world he found his retreat and religion in the world of music. "I found the power of music very early in my life. It brings me courage and keeps me calm in the worst of situations a human being can be placed in. My involvement in making music came naturally, since I wanted to give people music, just like I needed music in hard times". Central to the understanding of Daniel Badeie's music and art are the lyrics. They show conciousness on the inevitable phases of life - hope, longing, change and love are central themes. ”Moments” is Daniel's debut single, a both raunchy and mellow indie rock anthem and the first track to be presented from Daniel's debut album "Influence" (out January 30th 2013). "Influence is a word with many meanings - it can be either evil or lovingly hgood. It can be concious or not concious - but every human has to face it, one way or the other.
