We follow the tracks backwards in time. We find the grunge and hiphop. We are looking for the invisible threads between Portishead and Feist on one side, Albert King and Shuggie Otis on the other. Searching patterns that should not exist. We land at last, without the perfect answer, in the new EP from Trail of Feathers. The band's debut songs breathe this common, but sprawling, history. The influences fight and merged. In a music world that the recent past has focused increasingly on the production and format, Trail Of Feathers is looking for perfection in the imperfect; for the courage to let go through life in the songs.
