Dad Jokes: Bad friend (Single, 2014)

What listeners get is the release of a four track EP, Bad Friends - recorded after the band played punk festival Ottawa Explosion by Nick Botka (with help from Michael Ryan Dellinger) at Seattle's Vera Project. Proudly wishing to inform readers of this media release that it was recorded direct-to-tape, the EP is evocative of the band's live performances; that being a track-by-track sing along best accompanied by mountains of pizza and beer. Mastered by Auckland engineer/musician Tom Anderson only heightens the scuzzy beauty of such an EP. The first single, "Bad Friend", follows on from the poppy-hooks of their last release, "Confidence", and hopefully inspires another utterly quotable chorus set to remain stuck in your head for the rest of 2014.
