Behave (From Now On) is the debut EP by German-Austrian duo fijuka. It is soaked in pop music’s future/past with reference points from Kate Bush to Lykke Li. But it is also a romantic relationship with DIY culture and sound-experiments. Born from a powerful voice and a captivating bass-line, the title track is the tale of a relationship-gone-wrong, of the tightrope walk between affection and obsession. Each of the 3 remixes on this EP twists the track in a different direction: a percussive basement piece by Munich’s Bartellow (Pollyester, Columbus), a slow but dark creeper by Powernerd (Kebara, Bo Candy & His Broken Hearts) and a cut-up collage by visual artist Suchentrunk. The EP was recorded and mixed to analogue tape in Fall 2012 in Chris Janka’s studio in Vienna, produced by the band itself and mastered by Martin Siewert. The video was directed by Michael Haneke-student Florian Pochlatko, features the cheerleader team of Burghausen/Germany and some gymwheel shenanigans (no burning wheels even though we insisted on it. Why does nobody ever listen to us?!)
