San Francisco’s brightly lit pop EP begins with one of the most sarcastically titled songs passing through our pages. If the combination of the words ‘Teen’ and ‘Dream’ haven’t been beaten to death than the Bilinda Butchers did it right here with their melodically superior gaze. Goodbyes is a record for the fading summer. Although New York City is engulfed in a well heated October (I knew global warming was good for something), the fact is, winter is coming and the Butchers just can’t seem to let go. The EP holds a repetative timbre that transcends the pop hooks, the parts that initially draw you in, for more layered, composed tectonics. By the end ‘Little Leaf’ let’s you go, remembering the cyclical nature of living and looking forward to the next warmly toned moment. The album, although more digestible in its physical form, is available for free download via the groups bandcamp. [Free Download] @Dingusonmusic
