"San Francisco’s psych-pop spectacles Thee Oh Sees have remained pinnacles in the resurgence of 60′s channeled rock for nearly ten years now, “Flood’s New Light” displays the communal comfort shared between Dwyer and Co. while remaining relevant and continually shifting their sound in new creative directions.
“Flood’s New Light” is some of the best work the band has created; the way the bass drives the song while the vocals consistently remain unimposing allowing the guitar to be the element of magnetism which invokes an overall vibe of true rock and roll, when it comes down to it, the same thing could be said for the overall band’s dynamic in general yet never before has it been so omnipresent in a single song.
Their new album Putrifiers II is due out on Sept. 11 (In The Red) and looks to be one of the more important albums we’ll hear this year" (listenbeforeyoubuy.net)
