Yellowish: Solid ground (2012)

"After an five year long break Yellowish is soon ready to recapture the live stage. Even though the indie band hasn’t been making a fuss about itself externally, the buzz hasn’t gone off the song writing process. This means that time has been spent creating new material and Yellowish will be ready with completely new songs in the fall of 2012, right now the band is seeking new areas but still hanging on to the interplay and the tune. The style will be more rock-like and focused shoegazer pop.
Yellowish made their debut in 2004 with the album Solid Ground; an album that received nothing but splendid reviews across Europe. In Denmark the first single, “Lisa Could Die for Elvis”, went straight in as number one on the national, alternative chart “Det Elektriske Barometer”, and into rotation on P3 and DR Electric. In 2006, the band was back with their second album “So Bright”, and besides playing at SPOT Festival and Roskilde Festival, the band also toured both Denmark and Germany, playing no less than 25 concerts. The single “This is my Direction” went on rotation at P3 and once again Yellowish got at very positive press. The album was mixed by Carsten Heller (Nephew, Spleen United etc.).
