"This month marks the release of psychedelic iconoclasts The Prefab Messiahs' Peace Love & Alienation, a collection of the band's early recordings from 1982-1983. Following album cut "Beyond All That," the quartet offers "Desperately Happy," a punchy, chromatic garage pop tune that is full of social commentary by turns tongue-and-cheek and sincere. "Don't sing their harmony," Singer Xeth Feinberg cautions --"they" being the monolith of suits that apparently populated Worcester, Mass. in the early '80s. He also extols polyester as the counterculture textile of choice" (Lost: Altered Zones)
