Gathered Ghosts: Gathered ghosts (2011)

"I’ve been a huge fan of Craft Spells since the project was still in its one-man-band bedroom pop days. Since that time the band has bloomed into a purveyor of 1980’s synth pop (à la New Order) with an album that sounds so darn authentic you’d be excused for being fooled into thinking otherwise. With the bands music focused so heavily on synth-made atmosphere my interest was piqued when guitarist Javier Suarez offered up his solo project Gathered Ghosts.
Let’s just say that once I heard the song “Feels Like Nothing” I was enthusiastically sold. It’s easily one of the best tracks of the year and it’s downright criminal that this project hasn’t received more attention. Hopefully this will help in that area. And while I’m over the moon for “Feels Like Nothing” its bouncing, jangly pop sound is out numbered by the album’s more atmospheric synth and piano-based tracks. Javier has a great voice and confident sound and he knows how to command it to full effect. You can download the album for free on his bandcamp and I highly suggest you do just that" (Via:
