Arks: - (Ep, 2011)

"Arks’ “Ontario” is an unorthodox song that finds a way to both draw us in and awe us at the same time.
The Strongest aspect of “Ontario” is by far the emotionally driven lead guitar and how it practically takes the role traditionally held by lyrics. I’ve always had a soft spot for a fitting lead that doesn’t attempt too much, such an unpretentious approach is what makes the lead incredible.
Arks guitar work in general is impressing, how each guitar intertwines with the other giving the vocals a freedom to push the song in a direction most bands can never go, there is no format, no path to follow other than that which is laid out within the underlying emotion and the way those vocals choose to project it. This leaves “Ontario“ with an overall feeling of originality, which is not a word I get to use often.
