After reading that I felt two things. First I was sad that we will not be gifted with any new Vacation Dad music any time soon (maybe ever). But then I quickly realized that I couldn’t be sad for long because hey, Vacation Dad just gave us two free albums! I downloaded both and put them on my ipod so I could listen to them at work today. Amidst the tedium of the eight hour workday, I was lifted from the mire of boredom and taken on a jungle safari of noise with Vacation Dad as my tour guide. Just listen to this standout track and you’ll see.
So while I’m sad that Vacation Dad might be over, I cannot lament where Andrew’s focus has shifted. No, he won’t be making music anymore, but through his excellent label he’ll be helping other deserving artists bring their music to light. And we can’t really complain about that, right? Am I right?"
