Seaside Postcards: Seaside postcards (2012)

"This second Seaside Postcards' EP comes exactly one year after the homonymous debut. Twelve months of hard living, among defections and new arrivals, discouragements and injections of self-esteem, hope and faith. Well, these two states of mind are the ones who more than any other have paved the way for this new work. Stripped of any religious/theistic meaning, but rather lived and conceived with "fervent" secular momentum, Hope and Faith (terms almost obsolete in our technocratic society) will be the engines of the new humanity, a humanity that will be able to create men and women capable to destroy and not erect new temples, women and men that, descending in the innermost recesses of their beings, will re-emerge with the head of Hades in their hands. An evidence of this renewed "feeling" are these five songs published on September 29, 2012 and recorded at Manu Magnini's Basement Studio (Versailles, Container 47, Seaside Postcards) where the Post-Punk and icy sounds that characterized the beginning, left room for more comprehensive solutions, with the addition of a second guitar and more open and iridescent harmonic keys; further evidence of this is the presence of the beautiful and diaphanous voice of Laura Casiraghi (Starcontrol). So, making a petty synopsis useful to identify and better place this new work, we will say that the four from Pesaro, with their feet still firmly planted in the '80s, tried to play with the style that characterized the next decade, the decade in which they have musically grown.
